We want every child’s time at New Park Primary Academy to be one of discovery.
We our children to enjoy developing new skills and also to learn more about the world around them. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on learning beyond the classroom with outdoor experiences that stretch their imagination and challenge them to try new things.
As part of our school farm project, children care for animals, learn how plants grow and discover where our food comes from. We have opened school allotment plots for families, local residents and community groups.
Through our outdoor learning programme, we offer our children a chance to visit working farms and protected landscapes, to learn to make and light a fire and to cook their own meals outdoors.
We take full advantage of our local countryside to explore science and geography topics. We believe such experiences are vital parts of growing up, making learning fun and engaging.
