Message from the Headteacher

Welcome to New Park Primary

We are proud of our school, our delightful children and our community. New Park has a fantastic history of serving the local community since 1896. We have a collection of beautiful Victorian buildings with large, light classrooms, a series of playgrounds and a huge school field. Since September 2017 we have invested over £1.3m in our buildings and classrooms. Our small class sizes mean that children receive personalised support with their learning, whilst our innovative curriculum approach ensures children are engaged and motivated to learn. All classes spend a number of weeks immersed in high quality books, and our dedicated staff team work extremely hard to plan meaningful and immersive learning opportunities for the children.

We are fortunate to be one of the few nursery settings in Harrogate offering both 15 and 30 hour places to children from the age of three upwards. Our nursery children have their own refurbished classroom and share a large outdoor provision with reception children. They are a valued part of our school community and take part in lunchtimes and assemblies with the whole school, ensuring they learn from and with older children and have the best possible start to school when they transition to Reception.

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities. Many of these are available for free. Whatever your child’s interests and passions, you can be sure that they will be nurtured and encouraged by our skilled team of teachers and support staff.
