Parents & Carers

Uniform and belongings

Children wear:

  • grey/blue/black trousers/shorts or skirt

  • blue polo-shirt and blue sweatshirt

  • in summer girls may prefer a blue/white dress with white socks

Sweatshirts and polo shirts with the school logo are available from the school. Please name all items clearly for they do sometimes go astray. Do ask to search our lost property box for missing items! We also have an optional book bag to help with your child’s personal organisation. From 2015/16 we introduced a revised uniform for Y6 pupils. For Y6 pupils v-necked jumpers will replace sweatshirts, white dress shirts will replace polo shirts and must be worn with a tie and children will require a new winter sports kit consisting of school tracksuit, rugby shirt, shorts and socks. All these items are available from the school office.

PE Clothes

All children will need shorts, T-shirt and plimsolls – T-shirts with the school logo are available to buy from school.

For indoor PE the children will generally work in bare feet. PE clothes, which need to be clearly named, are best kept in school all week.  Children in years 5 and 6 may prefer tracksuits and trainers for outdoor PE in colder weather. Please note that these may get muddy!

Jewellery is not appropriate for school. If your child has pierced ears, studs must be worn on school days. For reasons of health and safety, once the initial six weeks have passed, ear studs should be removed for PE lessons. If your child is unable to do this independently, please do not let them wear earrings on PE days. No other jewellery, including neck chains and wristbands should be worn.

Personal possessions

Please do not allow your child to bring valuable items to school. Mobile phones must be named and handed in to the school office for safekeeping however we discourage you from  allowing your child to bring these into school as it is unlikely that they would ever require them- if we need to contact you we will, using the numbers that you have given us.
